CivicPlus Internship Highlights

This page talks about my work in the company CivicPlus as a UX Designer Intern. I worked on 15+ different projects, improving the user experience of 4 products of CivicPlus, i.e., CivicPlus Central, CivicPlus Portal , CivicPlus Evolve and CivicRec.

Through conducting multiple audits and research on 5 different products, I have gained extensive experience in identifying areas for improvement and redesigning components to enhance their performance. Additionally, I am currently building a UI component library, which will streamline the design process and ensure consistency across products.

During my internship, I undertook the challenging task of designing a UI library component on Figma based on Material UI. This project was the most impactful one as it allowed me to enhance my design skills while also contributing to the development of a vital resource for the company. The experience gave me a deeper understanding of UI design principles, as well as the importance of collaboration and attention to detail in a project of this scope.

As a design lead at CivicPlus, I successfully led the redesign of several client-facing and B2B products. This involved conducting extensive research, gathering user feedback, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the new designs aligned with business goals and user needs. Through this process, I was able to demonstrate my leadership skills, design expertise, and commitment to delivering high-quality products that exceeded user expectations.

As part of my role, I conducted extensive research for various digital products, utilizing a range of techniques such as competitive analysis, heuristics evaluation, and product audits. This research was critical in identifying areas for improvement and informing design decisions that aligned with user needs and business goals. By leveraging these research methodologies, I was able to provide valuable insights that helped to drive the success of the products I worked on.

For 5 products, I have conducted multiple audits, research and redesign of components. I’m also building a UI component library.
